UW-IT is the central IT organization for the University of Washington, providing critical technology support to all three campuses, UW medical centers and global research operations. UW-IT collaborates with University partners to advance teaching, learning, innovation and discovery at the UW.

The Information Management (IM) division at the University of Washington (UW) provides consistent and reliable architectures, guidelines, standards, tools, and services for data analysis, design, modeling, management, delivery, and integration of institutional data. The Enterprise Data Integration unit (EDI) within Information Management provides consistent and reliable architectures, guidelines, standards, tools, and services for analysis, design, integration, management, and delivery of institutional data. In addition, the EDI group manages, develops and maintains institutional data resources, including the UW Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and UW Enterprise Web Services (EWS), to provide information for applications and decision-making for the whole of the institution.

EDI is currently seeking a Systems Analyst to perform requirements gathering, analysis, design, end-user support and education, and software development support for the Enterprise Web Service. Essential responsibilities include gathering and documenting requirements, producing data linkage specifications to demonstrate solution effectiveness, and prototyping data structure and analytics to meet various business requirements.
The Systems Analyst is a data management professional experienced in business and data analysis, data profiling, data integration and design, web service architectures, information delivery and customer experience delivery. The position requires depth of knowledge and skills in enterprise data management methods and source-to-target mapping. The incumbent should be familiar with agile project management methods and be able to effectively perform the needed role within the agile process.

To be successful, the analyst will need to exhibit excellent qualities in attention to detail, analytical acumen, facilitating and communication, collaboration with stakeholders and partners, and competing priority management. The analyst needs to have top interpersonal communication skills and experience presenting to groups small and large.
