Job Description

Performs professional work in the design, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of computer and business systems to meet user needs. Provides support to users of information technology tools. Work typically involves a combination of providing expert advise and troubleshooting on groups of software products or an entire systems, assessing, planning for, and implementing new technology, administering and maintaining shared-user systems, communicating with users and user groups on technology topics, and providing instruction.

Essential Duties

  • System Administrator and Super User of the Point and Click (PNC) system and patient portal.
  • Maintain/Update/Create system configurations and templates in relation to scheduling, billing, compliance, clinical setup, etc.
  • Become the expert in data analysis and reporting for the PNC system
  • Provides user access and permissions according to roles and pre-assigned security groups
  • Develop a strong relationship with the EHR vendor to resolve any bugs/issues that arise, creating and managing tickets for issue resolution.
  • Proactively monitor the applications to recommend improvements and ways to increase efficiency in the process
  • Analyze and resolve issues encountered by the end-users during any implementation/new release and coordinate remediation with the vendor, and Health & Counseling staff
  • Troubleshoot supported hardware and software configuration
  • Coordinates internal projects to meet required milestones and ongoing organizing and scheduling
  • Assist with the design and implementation of new technical and operational processes and workflows.
  • Understand system architecture and infrastructure environments to assist with the resolution of technical issues
  • Maintains Standard Operating Procedures in relation to all technology products used by Health & Counseling staff.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality, safeguards protected health information (PHI), and reports disclosures appropriately.
  • May be cross-trained to perform job functions as staffing needs dictate
  • Works with customers to understand issues, respond and anticipate needs, and be prepared with solutions to potential customer service issues. Troubleshoots supported hardware and software configuration and trains staff on how to address specific issues.
  • Provides system support to include: configuration, first-level support, and implementation of additional units/modules.
  • Coordinates internal projects to meet required milestones and ongoing organizing and scheduling.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of new technical and operational processes and workflows.
  • Understand system architecture and infrastructure environments to assist with the resolution of technical issues.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field AND four (4) years experience providing information technology services; OR, Eight (8) years experience providing related information technology services, OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Certificates from recognized programs that indicate mastery tools and techniques relevant to the assignment may substitute for up to six months of experience.


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with: EHR systems (PnC or similar);
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft and other SQL databases;
  • Experience being a liaison between Healthcare staff and Technology teams;
  • Experience gathering data from various sources; analyzing data and preparing reports and presentations;
  • Evidence of problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in triage and prioritization of work;
  • Evidence of capability to multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
