As a member of the Office of Institutional Research and Analysis (OIRA), the systems analyst will provide accurate, reliable, and actionable information to stakeholders across campus to enable effective decision-making in support of student success. The role is responsible for developing and managing data applications/systems, like Slate for student success (CRM), Qualtrics for surveys, and internal and external requests for data.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Systems management – Slate for student success:
a. Serve as the functional lead for the implementation of a customer relationship management (CRM) tool to support student success.
b. Facilitate the functional design, implementation, and on-going maintenance of the CRM tool.
c. Collaborate with academic support personnel to map and revise current student success processes for implementation in the tool.
d. In collaboration with IT and OIRA, design the development of data integrations, data integrity and security, portal and form development, and workflows to meet student success initiative goals.
e. Support academic personnel in the effective use of the tool, including communication campaigns, advising processes, case management, and early alerts.
f. Support end users with documentation and training.
g. Stay up to date on new functionality and make recommendations for future implementation.
2. Systems management – Qualtrics:
a. Serve as the primary administrator of Qualtrics survey system.
b. Support end users with documentation and training.
c. Use Qualtrics to collect, analyze, and report on student survey data used by the institution.
3. Data management: Query, validate, manipulate, and summarize data from enterprise systems and warehouse environments using tools such as SQL.
4. Communication: Clearly communicate findings to non-technical audiences orally, in written form, and graphically as appropriate using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
5. Data literacy: Ensure stakeholders understand and appropriately use data products produced by the office by providing appropriate training and documentation.
6. Innovation: Proactively identify innovative improvements, methodologies, and technologies to assist the office and the university in achieving their missions and to improve student success.
7. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in business, data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, social or behavior science or another related field.
A minimum of one year of related experience.
Experience managing a CRM system.
Experience with relational database development and in querying enterprise data systems and warehouse environments, including knowledge of SQL.
Experience in implementing and/or applying information technology or systems to one or more business functions/operations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of HTML.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated strong attention to detail involving data, systems, and documentation.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Master’s degree in business, data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, social or behavior science or another related field
Experience with Slate for Student Success or Slate for Admissions.
Professional experience in higher education enrollment management, advising, student success, academic affairs, or related area.
Experience with project management and change management.
Experience working effectively with data systems and end users, particularly regarding quality control, documentation, and process improvement.
