Compensation:
Pay Range: $63,875 - $103,800/year

Duties:

To conduct business requirements reviews, technical systems specifications and systems process analysis. To develop detailed selection evaluation criteria. To analyze and re-engineer business processes using industry standard tools and methods with understanding of the technical and business environments. To partner with business process experts to learn and understand problems with software. To develop innovative IT solutions for risky and demanding business situations. 

Job Specific Duties

                  ·   Application support     

                   ·   Ownership of Incidents and problems resolution processes.

    • Effectively work with users to understand problem and recognize and define needs/problems
    • Ability to distinguish critical needs and prioritize among less urgent needs
    • Follow through from analysis to problem resolution, modifying software as necessary
    • Provide quality customer service
    • Provide on-call support as assigned (but not limited to)
    • Millennium Pathnet (Gen Lab, Micro…etc)
    • Understand integration and interfacing among systems
    • Create documentation for continuous process improvement, education and training

 

  • Analysis and Definition
    • Review information on more complex assignments/projects with team leader/mentor, seeking input and direction
    • Prepare functional and technical specifications Effectively identify problems, risks and their resolutions

 

  • Technical Knowledge
    • Provide a variety of programming duties with direction
    • SR submissions for vendor supported tasks
    • Use Monitoring tools and monitor effectively
    • Maintain skills and programming languages as commensurate for experience level

 

  • Integrity and security of data
    • Ensure the integrity and security of institutional data
    • Promote confidentiality, security policies and procedures

 

  • Procedures and Processes
    • Follow incident management and change management procedures
    • Perform functionality testing for accuracy of request
    • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual maintenance tasks for database maintenance
    • Follow escalation procedures according to departmental policies and procedures
    • Document problem resolution appropriately

 

  • Communication
    • Share knowledge with other teams and team members
    • Work collaboratively with other teams for resolution to problems
    • Communicate problem resolution to users and staff seeking feedback as to action taken to resolve a problem and the success or non-success
    • Review feedback and take appropriate action seeking directions and assistance from team leader/subject matter expert
    • Provide timely status reporting

 

Qualifications

 

Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. 

Preferred Skills

  Medical laboratory science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Previous experience with implementing and/or supporting Cerner Millennium PathNet or other systems.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory processes, specimen management, and workflows.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and facilitate system performance.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
