The Information Security Office is responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UNT Health Science Center information resources and managing risk to those resources. The team is accountable for all UNTHSC information resources including clinical, research, financial, and student academic data.  
The UNT Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Systems Administrator (accounts administrator) to join the ITS Information Security Office team. Primary responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
* Create / modify / disable /delete network based and system based accounts based on UNTHSC employee / student / contractor.
* Hire /transfer / terminate (enrollment and graduation for students) actions in a timely manner.
* Ensure that all paperwork and training is completed prior to granting access.
* Prepare documents for user instructions for access to HSC systems. Provide users with new user id's and passwords. Notify appropriate departments of new user ID's.
* Provide supervisor on agreed reports monthly. Assist users with access and password issues.
* Conduct employee and student onboarding related training.
* Perform user account and access based compliance audits to uncover application and system access issues.
* Assist in the implementation and monitoring of information security controls.
* Report all security violations immediately to supervisor.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and one (1) year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
* Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory.
* Powershell scripting.
* Understanding of Server platforms (MS, Linux) as well as server administration tools.
* Understanding of client platforms (Windows, OS X).
