Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Automation Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Ansible for automation, a strong background in IT service management (ITSM) with platforms such as ServiceNow, and a deep understanding of cloud services across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role requires a solid grasp of configuration management within these cloud environments. Experience with Terraform is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
· Design and implement automation solutions using Ansible to streamline IT operations.
· Writes, debugs, and maintains source code using best practices as assigned.
· Collaborates and communicates closely with teams to provide solutions to infrastructure and software engineering tasks.
· Becomes proficient in new technologies in a timely manner as assigned and determined by management and team lead.
· Builds and releases configuration management deployments for Linux, Windows, and other systems as assigned.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
· Develop integration between Ansible playbooks, ServiceNow, and Terraform.
· Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP with a focus on configuration management.
· Utilize Terraform to codify cloud resources and ensure efficient deployment and scalability.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver automation strategies.
· Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting new cloud technologies and automation tools.
· Completes assigned duties in a timely manner as determined by management and team lead.
Minimum Qualifications
Require a bachelor’s degree in a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
Preferences
· Proficient in the following languages: Python, JavaScript, YAML, JSON, and Bash.
· Experience with ServiceNow development and automation with other Low Code/No Code solutions.
· Familiarity with Web Development including React and leveraging APIs.
· Strong knowledge in one or more of the following cloud providers AWS, Azure and GCP.
· Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPC/Vnet, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
· Experience in enterprise-scale environments, building highly available Solutions within Public and Private Cloud environments.
· Familiarity with IAM (Identity and Access Management) concepts and tools in cloud platforms to ensure secure and controlled access to cloud resources.
· Experience writing and maintaining DevOps and GitOps models with infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, and policy-as-code.
· Experience with CI/CD tools – GitHub, Bitbucket, pipelines, repos, etc.
· Experience with infrastructure automation tools/configuration management like: Ansible, Terraform.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with team.
· Eagerness to actively engage in professional development opportunities such as certifications, workshops, or conferences to enhance skills and knowledge in cloud and other technologies.
