Western EcoSystems Technology, Inc. (WEST) is a dynamic medium size consulting firm with offices across the United States and Canada. We are looking for a full-time, regular Systems Administrator in Cheyenne, Laramie, WY or remote. Since 1990, WEST has grown to be one of the premier environmental and statistical consulting firms in the United States. WEST has a permanent core of professionals with broad experience in basic and applied ecological studies and the sophisticated analysis of natural resource data. Job Summary: The successful candidate will responsible for providing technology support and assistance to the organization. Manage IT infrastructure including networks, telephony, Linux and Windows servers, data storage, security and backup/recovery processes. Provide advanced support to the IT help desk. Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will have proven work experience in IT and will be qualified in at least 50% of the following: Solid knowledge of Windows server 2021R2/2016/2019 and Windows 10 Ubuntu Linux, including managing Tomcat, Apache, and NGINX. Docker management experience Understanding and ability to manage DNS, DHCP, VOIP, Apache, IIS, MSSQL and PostgreSQL Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) configuration Active directory management including Group Policy and best practices for security of the domain On-site backup, off-site backup, and archival management best practices Google Apps for business administration Collaborate and consult with project managers and employees to provide exceptional end-user support, both locally and remotely IT hardware and software evaluation and recommendations to the team Install/configure/maintain new hardware and software implementations TCP/IP networking, prior network administration experience with routers, switches and firewalls Firewall and VPN management and implementation, including IPsec and possibly SD-WAN VMWare ESXi and Hypervisor administration, including Horizon VDI infrastructure Prior experience in system/network documentation using MS Visio, Wiki’s and intranet tools Strong background in managing least privileges, comfortable in troubleshooting issues using logs and other tools. Qualifications

Qualifications: AS in computer science or equivalent experience; BA/BS in technology field preferred. Certification in either Microsoft (MCSE, MCSA) or Cisco (CCNA) preferred Record of exceptional customer support Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills Excellent listening skills Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling information and documentation Be detail oriented in all transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and make independent decisions Ability to operate most standard office equipment WEST is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for everyone and highly recommends all prospective hires be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to their start date.
