Responsible for the gestation and reproductive physiology area. Duties will include breeding and overall care of animals in the gestation and reproductive area of the Swine Unit. Duties include data collection, feeding of animals, vaccinations and daily estrous observations. Maintenance of facility will involve repair as needed in all aspects. Employee will cross train with the grow/finish phase and be involved with the overall care of pigs and facilities. Position is located at the Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center located by Mead, NE.

Minimum Required Qualifications
High school diploma plus four years of experience working with breeding animals; education in a related field may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Ability to work in a team, make timely decisions, care for animals, and maintain a sanitary environment. Valid Nebraska driver’s license. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
