Position Summary:

Provides for the care and safety of the surgical patient prior to, during, and after the surgical procedure. Prepares and maintains the sterile surgical field for each procedure and assures proper handling of instruments afterward.


Position Qualification:

(1) Hold current national certification established by the National Board of Surgical

Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA);

(2) Have completed a program for surgical technology accredited by the Commission on

Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP);

1-2 years Healthcare/Medical - Technologist Preferred

Years of Experience can be related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
