  • JOB DUTIES

Description

Prepare for surgical procedures by collecting and checking supplies and instrument trays. Scrub and set up sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures following departmental standards. Maintains sterile field following standards for counts, medication, specimens, and safety precautions. Assist in central processing area as required. Responsible for other related duties as required.



  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Must have surgical technician certification from an accredited school or program. At least one year of experience in an acute care facility with experience in all surgical procedures. Ability to move heavy objects, apply aseptic technique to use a variety of operating instruments and equipment. Ability to handle equipment carefully and safely, and stand for a long period of time. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
