Position Announcement

Utah Valley University is seeking a Testing Services Supervisor! The Supervisor will oversee all aspects of assigned areas in Testing Services, including coordinating and communicating duties and responsibilities, staff schedules, training, policies and procedures to ensure testing commitments followed in respective areas and functions. 


Summary of Responsibilities

  • Supervises assigned areas in Testing Services, including coordinating and communicating duties and responsibilities to part-time and student staff.
  • Supervises training and assists in the creation and assignment of staff schedules.
  • Enforces all Testing Services policies and procedures and ensures testing commitments are met in respective areas and functions.
  • Performs confidential test processing assignments, which may include composing routine correspondence, record management, following instructions, and performing financial accounting.
  • Enforces test security for all exams, including securing exams, answer documents, and all other related materials.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline plus two years of staff-level experience in Summary of Duties or equivalent education and experience totaling six years.

    Knowledge    

    • Knowledge of testing policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge of customer service practices.
    • Knowledge of employee relations and leadership techniques
    Skills    
    • Skill in the use of various computer software applications, including Microsoft Office.
    • Skill in listening and watching clients during testing sessions.
    • Skill in office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
    • Skill with interpersonal communication and public relations.
    • Skill in assessment of reports, charts, and item analysis.
    • Skill in business English, budget management and math.
    Abilities    
    • Ability to multi-task and work with little or no supervision.
    • Ability to communication verbally and in writing with a variety of audiences.
    • Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of staff employees.
    • Ability to organize and coordinate various functions of testing software.
    • Ability to speak publicly to groups of people with precise instructions.
    • Ability to receive feedback and act on that feedback.
