The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

The Slide Send Out Supervisor will coordinate the day-to-day clerical operation of the slide requests ensuring all resources are effectively utilized and all issues are handled promptly and appropriately. This includes but is not limited to, processing of Slide Send Out requests presented by various requesters (e.g., patients, law offices, clinical trials, and research, documents data in Copath and applicable databases. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves work problems related to day-to-day clerical operations, including turnaround time, and troubleshooting errors. Maintaining records and monitoring checks, credit cards, invoices, and IDIs to be properly and timely processed. Provide monthly financial reports to the billing department.

The incumbent will provide vacation coverage for managerial management over the site and will provide backup during the Anatomic Pathology archiving and send-out operations.

Promote employee professional growth and development by assessing skill competency, train new employees and serve as a resource for employees. Responsible for implementing performance improvement processes and demonstrating improved outcomes. Monitors staff attendance and manages their performance. 

 


Responsibilities

  • (40%) - Coordination of the day-to-day operation of the slide send-out unit, ensuring all resources are effectively utilized and all issues are handled promptly and appropriately.
  • (15%) - Maintain, audit, and prepare reports including providing a monthly financial report to the billing department.
  • (20%) - Supervision and performance management of Slide Send Out personnel.
  • (10%) - Responsible for implementing performance improvement processes and demonstrating improved outcomes.
  • (5%) - Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Co-Path and EPIC strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous experience training or coaching others preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in the following competencies:
