The department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Supervisor, Materials Management to work at UHealth. The Supervisor, Materials Management, will be responsible for, but not limited to, assisting the Manager, Materials Management, by performing the receiving and distribution of inventory and special-order items in the facilities assigned. The incumbent will also assist with restocking the warehouses and supervise the team of Materials Management Clerks as assigned.

  • Ensures that all required documentation related to receiving, stock, and non-stock supply distribution is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.

  • Coordinates emergency deliveries with the Transportation department administration.

  • Researches any special-order delivery issues in response to end-user complaints.

  • Notifies the Inventory Coordinator of any change in the movement of products, such as overstocking or slow-moving items.

  • Assists with the shipping and receiving flow in the department.

  • Fills pick tickets/computer requisitions and delivers supplies to hospital departments on time.

  • Assist with annual and cycle count events as directed by the Manager, Materials Management.

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of the department’s delivery truck and bring all supplies and or equipment into the department. The use of a pallet jack may be required.

  • Responsible for assuring that all work areas and storage areas are maintained in a safe and proper appearance.

  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School graduate.

  • 3 years of related experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Previous experience with an automated inventory management system preferred.

  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondence

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form

  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion

  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail

  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office)

  • Ability to lift 70 lbs
