Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a motivated Supervisor of Environmental Services for Institutional Planning and Operations-Environmental Services. The primary purpose of the Supervisor (Environmental Services) position is to provide the leadership that oversees the work activities of cleaning personal to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions that meet standard of quality within the Health care and Educational Institution. COVID-19 Immunization Requirement | Under Policy 60.1.35 , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Prospective employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster within two weeks (14 calendar days) of eligibility . Based on current guidance, individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the final dose of any COVID-19 vaccine authorized or approved for use in the United States by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Eligibility for a booster against COVID-19 varies and is explained on the University’s web site located at https://coronavirus.rutgers.edu/covid-19-vaccine . Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination. |

Physical Demands and Work Environment | PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires the individual to stand, walk, talk and hear over 2/3 of the time; to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and to reach with arms and hands up to 2/9 of the time; to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell less than 1/3 of this time. The job requires that a weight be lifted or a force exerted up to ten (10) pounds 2/3 of the time, from twenty-five (25) pounds up to one-hundred (100) pounds less than 1/3 of the time. The position requires close, distance and color vision, peripheral vision and the depth perception as well as the ability to focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The individual in this position may be exposed to environmental conditions such as fumes or airborne particles up to 2/3 of the time; to biohazard us materials or toxic or caustic chemicals that require the use of Personal Protective Equipment, to risk of radiation, wet of humid conditions (non-weather), outdoor weather conditions, work in high or precarious places, extreme heat or cold (non-weather), less than 1/3 of the time. Moderate noise is typical for the environment for this job. |
