Title Summer Reservation Assistant
Position Description
Under the supervision of the Room Reservationist, the Reservation Assistant (RA) reviews online reservation requests for BSU spaces through our Event Management System (EMS). RAs ensure these requests are compatible with the space in relation to institutional policies and procedures. When appropriate, the RA will follow up with sponsors by email and/or phone to offer resolutions or seek clarification regarding the reservation request. RAs ensure that incoming reservations contain complete and accurate information so that each event can be provided with the necessary support to be a success.
Interested students must have a positive and professional attitude, and a willingness to learn. They should also have excellent computer and customer service skills. A major component of this position is communicating with event sponsors and other BSU departments either by email or on the phone. Previous customer service and/or office experience and a familiarity with the campus is preferred. RA’s work in the University Events office in the Rondileau Student Union on campus. The Scheduling Area operates Monday through Friday 9 am – 5 pm. RA shifts are scheduled during these hours only.
