The Hatzell group in the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University is seeking applications for an open summer research position. The Hatzell group examines dynamic interfaces in energy storage, conversion, and separations applications with a focus on next generation clean energy technologies. 

 

The researcher will participate on projects that focus on generating knowledge about interfaces in advanced solid state batteries and/or separations applications. We seek candidates with an interest in gaining experience with collaborative research in a dynamic laboratory setting.

 

This position is temporary.



Responsibilities include:

·       X-ray image analysis of battery materials using matlab and avizo software

·       Evaluate and discern structural features in synchrotron image

·       Participate in data analysis and research meetings



This position includes opportunities to learn and develop research skills and receive professional mentorship. Experience in relevant fields of electrochemistry, materials characterization, and inorganic or solid-state chemistry is strongly desired. Experience with meso-scale modeling, data-analysis, and x-ray characterization is desirable but not a requirement. All candidates must have a strong research background and enjoy working on teams.
