Job Description:

Berklee College of Music is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Summer Programs Administrative Hiring to join our dynamic team. This vital role supports the successful execution of our Summer Programs by assisting with reference checks for temporary roles, managing housing placement for eligible temporary staff, and handling necessary follow-up administrative tasks essential to completing the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reference Checks: Conduct thorough reference checks for potential temporary staff, ensuring a high standard of recruitment and maintaining the integrity of Berklee’s hiring process.

  • Housing Placement: Coordinate the housing assignments for eligible temporary staff, managing logistics to ensure accommodations that meet the needs of our diverse team.

  • Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative duties related to the hiring process, including but not limited to, document management, data entry, and communication with candidates and human resources.

  • Onboarding: Ensure all post-hiring processes are completed efficiently, including the verification of employment documentation, updating records, and addressing any inquiries related to housing or employment status.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Human Resources and Summer Programs teams to streamline the hiring process, contribute to team meetings, and support broader departmental objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in data entry and managing digital records. Spreadsheet application skills (e.g., Excel, Sheets) ideal.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly, demonstrating good judgment in handling sensitive and sometimes confidential information.

  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset with a willingness to contribute positively to the team and program objectives.
