Job Title Summer Intern- University Events (Temporary)
Job Description
The Summer Intern with Major University Events will assist with organizing and executing various large-scale events, ranging from social gatherings to major stadium events. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in event coordination, logistics management, and client interaction within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This position will:
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of all aspects of event planning, including operational timelines, vendor management, and onsite coordination.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Assist in creating departmental resources and documents to support event policies and procedures.
  • Assist in researching industry trends and best practices to enhance event planning processes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Marketing, Business Administration) or recent graduate.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Proficiency with the Google suite (Docs, Sheets), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Enthusiasm for event planning and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
