Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
The Fowler School of Engineering is seeking students enthusiastic about working with high school students and teaching them fundamentals of fabrication, coding, and other engineering principles. These students will work with Ashley Ricart to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
  • Attend all 1-day workshops
  • Assist instructor with planning and testing workshop structure during Spring Semester
  • Assist with workshop preparation, set up, and teardown
  • Assist student attendees with hardware, debugging, and other issues as needed
  • Lead portions of the workshops in conjunction with the instructor
Required Qualifications
  • Be available for all of the workshops: 6/24/24, 7/8/24, 7/15/24, 7/22/24
  • Willingness to create a welcoming environment that encourages participation in the workshops.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must pass Live Scan background check
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience mentoring, tutoring, or leading students
  • Experience with 3D printing, laser cutting, or Arduino
  • Experience mentoring, tutoring, or leading students
