Summary:

Candidates are being considered for a full-time position as the Study Coordinator of a multi-year clinical study to develop prediction models for periodontal disease progression (funded by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research).  Primary responsibilities of the Study Coordinator will be to recruit study participants; assist in the consenting process, conduct self-reported assessments as needed; collect and assist processing biological samples (saliva and dental plaque) for analyses; track attendance at scheduled appointments for dental care and maintain participant files; distribute E-gift cards to study participants. In addition, the Research Assistant will assist with human subjects (IRB) activities; and collecting, entering and analyzing data. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field and at least 6 months experience in human subjects research, including experience working with SPSS, R or similar statistical packages. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

*Must have strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

*Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.

*Must have sound judgments with the ability to make independent decision.

*Ability to work with others as part of a collaborative research team.

*Strong data analysis skills and ability to use statistical software, such as SPSS and Excel

*Familiarity with data capturing systems such as Qualtrics, RedCAP

Preferred:

*Experience with dental research and Qualtrics

This position requires a background check.

This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.

This is a grant-funded position.
