Job Summary
 

Oversee aspects of day-to-day activities, scheduling staff, organizing and deploying staff to Chicago Public Schools, ordering stipends, submitting gas reimbursements, food orders, supply orders, and incentives provided for participation in assessments, assisting with needed reports, taking notes and participating in weekly research meetings, supervising post baccalaureate staff and undergraduate research assistants. Working with PIs to identify, interview, and hire staff. Identify and engage in community outreach, education, and support for study participants.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and engages in community outreach, education, and support for study participants.

  • Provides routine or standardized laboratory duties by collecting data in support of research projects under direct supervision.

  • Collects and enters data. Assists in analysis of data and with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.

  • Complies with institution, state and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.

  • Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).

Work Experience:

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

  • At least one year of relevant research experience.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office familiarity.

  • Knowledge of research techniques or methods.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Excellent and professional verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Tackle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.

  • Follow directions and communicate clearly and effectively.

  • Work with both minimal supervision and collaboratively.
