The Studio Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing the operation of the Production Studio and media staff as well as acting as the creative lead on multimedia productions for the Health Sciences. The Studio Manager will be the primary point of contact for stakeholders from across the Health Sciences to plan multimedia projects, develop creative concepts, and schedule recording and/or live streaming sessions. The Studio Manager will demonstrate advanced knowledge of visual storytelling and the technology utilized in the Production Studio to produce high-quality media products and direct the media team. The Studio Manager will also focus on longer-term initiatives and distribution strategies to generate interest in the Production Studio, as well as oversee the maintenance and growth of the Production Studio spaces and equipment.

·        Process media requests, make contact with clients to develop project concepts.

·        Oversee pre-production processes including storyboarding/pre-visualization, scripting, and developing production schedules.

·        Oversee execution of projects through post- and delivery to client. Delegate responsibilities to media team and oversee progress and completion.

 Supervise staff, including hiring, distributing and reviewing work, and performance reviews; manage work schedules and approve timecards; provide professional development opportunities.

  Develop media team goals and strategies and track progress towards these goals.

Expand on existing policy and procedure documents. Maintain a repair/refresh schedule for all studio equipment and software.

Track, maintain, and propose an annual unit budget, and make recommendations for equipment refresh and additions.

Continually research new technologies and collaborate with instructional designers, leadership, and other Health Sciences stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance the learning experience through multimedia



Job Summary

Manages services and products throughout their lifecycle and supervises team. Liaises with faculty, staff and students to resolves issues. Oversees and provides highly complex technical design, implementation, maintenance, system administration, and support. Monitors and analyzes performance metrics, coordinates project schedules, and prepares long- and short-range plans.
