Position Summary:

The Studio/Equipment Room Assistant will staff the equipment room of the department of communication in the Moss Arts Center. This position involves inventory management and basic maintenance of audio and video equipment used in the Multimedia Journalism program. The person in this position may, at the request of instructors, handle occasional duties in the TV studio and computer classrooms.

Required Qualifications:

-Associate’s degree or higher in a technology related discipline or equivalent education, training or work experience.
-Experience working with an online reservation system, managing inventory, providing customer support in an educational setting, and working in a high-volume, service-oriented office.
-Experience using various Microsoft Office products and multiple online browsers.
-Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
-Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use independent judgement.
-Must be able to work evenings and weekends hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in communications with emphasis on electronic media.
-Working knowledge of Connect2 inventory management system.
-Society of Broadcast Engineers membership.
