The Upward Bound/Upward Bound Math & Science Programs are looking for Peer Tutors to assist High School students (Hammond, Gary, and East Chicago) with academic success strategies for the 2023-2024 Academic Year. The primary responsibility of the Peer Tutor is to support students, provide individual and/or group tutoring to students across a broad range of courses based on their personal area of expertise (Math, Science, and English/Language Arts). Tutors will meet with students (in-person) to clarify and review conceptstaughtinclass,explainprocesses,andhelptheUBstudentssolvespecificproblems.The emphasis and content of the tutoring session is determined by the student’s needs. Tutors will work with and gain support from the Assistant Director, and the Upward Bound Program.
