This position is on our Norman campus.  

Social Work Student Worker:  Recruitment and Events

The AHZSSW is seeking a student worker to join our team for the Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 Academic Year to assist in social work recruitment efforts, event planning and supporting the work of the Social Work Student Association.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop recruitment strategies and carryout efforts to attract prospective students to the social work program.
  • Attend recruitment events on campus and at other local community colleges.
  • Assist with organizing information sessions, and outreach events for prospective students.
  • Conduct outreach with campus organizations and provide information about social work programs.
  • Set up promotional table in student union periodically to provide program information and answer questions. 
  • Update prospective student database and initiate correspondence regarding program and application information.
  • Work closely with the Social Work Student Association to support their initiatives and activities.
  • Assist in organizing meetings and social events for Social Work Students Association members.
  • Help maintain communication channels, such as email lists and social media platforms, to keep SWSA members informed and engaged.

Job Requirements

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in the Fall Term as an OU student in a social work program or related field. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.


  • Must attach Fall 2024 OU class schedule.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally students, faculty and student body.
