Definition of Class
We are looking for an enthusiastic Brand Ambassador to be the face of Winter/Summer classes and promote enrollment in upcoming Winter/Summer sessions.
If you’re outgoing and enthusiastic and enjoy talking with other students, we would like to meet you. To be a successful Brand Ambassador, you will need to attend tabling opportunities, organizational meetings, and events to showcase Winter/Summer at UM. You should also be prepared to help develop and showcase social media content and reach out to students on campus to talk about Winter/Summer sessions.
Ultimately, you should be able to talk about the experience of taking Winter/Summer classes on campus and generate interest in other students enrolling in these sessions.
Examples of Work Performed
• Interact with students on campus to initiate conversations about Winter/Summer enrollment
• Develop, create, and share content for social media
• Participate in tabling opportunities as a spokesperson for Winter/Summer sessions
• Network and build trusting relationships with other students
• Thoroughly understand our Winter/Summer sessions and the opportunities available to various student communities
• Use word-of-mouth marketing techniques, like highlighting Winter/Summer opportunities to friends, organizations, and peers on campus
• Monitor online and offline sentiment and share relevant information with Academic Outreach and the Outreach Marketing department
• Assist in organizing Winter/Summer activations on campus
• Track students’ preferences and suggest advertising and positioning ideas
• Provide feedback to Academic Outreach and Outreach Marketing regarding students’ requests and questions
• Track and report on competitors’ marketing/communications activities
Essential Functions and skills
• An outgoing, friendly personality, and a desire to meet new people
• Strong social media presence on multiple platforms
• Experience developing/creating online content
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional attitude
• Experience in retail sales is a plus
• Work experience as a Brand Ambassador or similar role is a plus
Salary/Wage Information
$9.00/hr
