Position Summary Information


Objective
To provide support to the faculty and staff in the Department of Biology.
Essential Duties
1. Maintain laboratory preparations.
2. Organize and clean laboratory areas.
3. Prepare media, reagents and solutions.
4. Assist faculty with assigned tasks.
5. Autoclave lab coat at the end of semester
6. Occasional clerical duties.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
You must have been awarded Federal Work Study and satisfy the enrollment requirements for this position.
Applicant must be available to work on Friday 8:00 AM -12:00 PM
Preferred Experience and Training
At least one science course or AP course taken at the college level/high school
Laboratory experience acquired through course work or workforce.
Required Degree, License or Certifications
Physical Requirements
Applicant must be able to walk, stand, climb stairways and step ladders, bend, reach above the shoulder and perform repetitive tasks with hands and arms. This position also requires heavy lifting and pushing (45 to 70 lbs.).
