Program Manager
Job Description
The job posting is only open to current Arizona Board of Regents employees (Arizona State University, University of Arizona, or Northern Arizona University).
Under administrative general direction from Global Launch leadership, perform work of considerable difficulty in coordinating and directing the student services team, providing excellent service to the international students enrolled in Global Launch programs at the ASU Tempe, West, and Online campuses. Independently ensures that the goals and objectives of Global Launch are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, standards of quality and customer service. Position’s primary campus is Tempe with occasional travel to West campus required.

Salary Range
$50,000 - $80,000 per year; DOE
Essential Duties
Duties cover three areas of responsibility:
Staff
- Supervise Student Services staff and their areas of responsibility
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent regulations and policies in executing each program.
- Supervises and facilitates the development of high impact process manual materials for all staff to ensure smooth operation of unit
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new hires as needed.
Programs
- Enrollment and retention of students in all standard and special programs on Tempe, Online and West campuses, including New and Continuing Student Registration.
- Provide guidance to staff and students in issues related to SEVIS/I-20
- Oversee and assist program coordinators in all extra-curricular planning and execution
- Lead program policy and pricing reviews with faculty, staff, and leadership
- Oversee the planning and coordination of new student onboarding and orientation events.
- Represent Global Launch in international student services meetings and liaise with other ASU student-facing departments
Students
- Oversee advising team, ensuring best practices in advising strategies and data management
- Collaborate across the unit to help resolve complex issues for students admitted to or enrolled in Global Launch programs.
- Oversee processes related to enrollment of students in health insurance and sponsored student advising
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field AND five years administrative/coordination experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND three years administrative/coordination experience; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with and/or advising international students in higher education, including English language learners with varying proficiency.
- Experience working abroad in an educational setting.
- Experience providing leadership and/or administrative support in a higher education environment.
- Experience hiring, training, and/or supervising others.
- Experience with process management and/or improvement.
- Experience with Salesforce, PeopleSoft, Slack or other CRM, Microsoft Bookings, Airtable, Canvas LMS desired.
- Experience working in a fast-paced supportive team environment while maintaining effective working relationships and facilitating work teams.
- Familiarity with ASU systems and programs.
- Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to design and present training materials
Working Environment
Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions. Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
A hybrid work schedule is an option with both remote and in-person time.
