The Diamond Eagle Student Resource Center is a hub for students to receive support for professional and academic success through a variety of resources and community building during their time at UNT. Through the UNT Food Pantry, the Suit Up professional clothing closet, the Mean Green Gowns for Grads program, and the We Mean Green Fund, the Center helps students with access to food resources, professional development, and engagement with sustainability initiatives on campus!
Position Overview
The Diamond Eagle Student Resource Center (DESRC) Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the UNT Community Garden, UNT Natural Dye Garden, Campus Race to Zero Waste, and Bee Campus USA Programs. Coordinator will reside as an advisor for the We Mean Green Fund Committee as well as an advisor for students interested in proposing WMGF projects.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent public speaking skills with experience in conducting training workshops.
• Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to student populations.
• Experience in networking across departments and programs.
• Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with project management and/or stakeholder engagement
Required License / Registration / Certification
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8-5. Occasional nights and weekends.\

Job Duties


o
Supervising student employees and provide them with effective training, resources, and feedback
o
Assist with day-to-day operations of the Diamond Eagle Student Resource Center and campus gardens (UNT Community Garden and UNT Natural Dye Garden)
o
Design and implement programming to increase awareness about environmental, social, and economic skills that are relevant to the Center to increase student learning outcomes.
o
Spearhead the We Mean Green Fund Committee, Bee Campus USA, and Campus Race to Zero Waste initiatives
o
Advise students on select WMGF approved projects, including assisting with their purchase requirements, aiding them through stakeholder conversations, and guiding them through project implementation.
