Job Summary: The Student Retention Program Manager serves as an academic and campus success coach for third- and fourth-year UA students who are on the cusp of academic warning and/or have financial limitations that prohibit persistence through their degree program. Provides resources. Develops student success plans. Manages outreach and communication efforts. Builds partnerships across campus.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of academic advising, student success and/or retention experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of academic advising, student success and/or retention experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff in a collaborative manner.
Demonstrated commitment to expanding multicultural knowledge, awareness, and skills as evidenced through demonstrating self-awareness; understanding and valuing others; demonstrating knowledge of social inequalities; interacting effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Higher Education or related field
