Student Response Specialist (Remote)

The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) Student Response Center Specialist is a full-time employment position reporting to the Director of the Student Response Center . The department supports prospective student outreach seven days a week with operating hours aligned to the incoming inquiry demand. This position's responsibility is to determine if a potential student's capabilities, desires, and motivation are suitable to begin the enrollment process. This position is accountable for creating a positive first-time impression with all potential students over the phone.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Handle all student inquiries, ensuring they meet pre-qualifications for enrollment, and connect potential students to enrollment department

  • Active listening and ability to respond positively to difficult customers

  • Address initial concerns, and proactively provide features specific to the student's needs

  • Able to multi-task between multiple systems and communication channels

  • Ensure service levels and key performance indicators are met/exceeded

  • Follow procedures, scripts, and develop rapport and constructive working relationships with all internal and external customers

  • Thrive as a team player in a fast-paced, high-energy, change-oriented environment

  • Understand and support UAGC’s mission and total enrollment objectives

  • Compliance with all internal and external regulatory policies and procedures

  • Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and open to coaching and learning

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A team player, who can work both independently and collaboratively ​

  • Proficient in Microsoft® Office Word®, Excel®, Outlook®, and PowerPoint® applications

  • Demonstrates effective critical thinking, decision making, oral and written communication skills

  • Navigate multiple systems, learn new tools and effectively troubleshoot

  • Complete discretion and confidentiality in the handling of all business relations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Willing to work weekends and evenings as required to meet the demands of potential student outreach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • +1 years of in high-volume Call Center, Customer and/or Sales experience

  • Multi-Line and Predictive Auto-Dialer experience

Rate of Pay: $18.15 - $22.69

Compensation Type: Hourly at 1.0 full-time equivalence (FTE)
