Job Description Summary
The student research assistant provides support related to research and creative activities that contribute to the mission of the unit under direct supervision by a faculty member. The research assistant is responsible for collecting and analyzing data, conducting literature reviews, and assisting with data entry and organization. The assistant contributes to the research design and methodology while also assisting in preparing research reports and presentations. Students working in this role can expect to develop analytical skills, communication skills, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
· Develops work plans in accordance with research objectives.
· Assists in the collection of data specific to the assignment.
· Assist with data entry and organization.
· Contribute to the research design and methodology.
· Prepare research reports and presentations.
· Maintain organized records of research materials and data.
· Adhere to ethical guidelines and protocols in research activities.
Required Qualifications
· Currently enrolled in a program to obtain a bachelor’s degree in social science or humanities.
· Sufficient knowledge of social science research methods
· Solid organizational skills and the ability to work accurately with a large amount of data.
