The Gallogly College of Engineering has a robust outreach and recruitment strategy, and Student Recruiters are a key element of this plan. Student Recruiters will:

  • Lead tours for prospective students and their families;
  • Assist with the coordination, logistics, and execution of on-campus and off-campus outreach and recruitment events;
  • Assist student services staff with various duties including: preparing correspondence; greeting and assisting students, faculty and visitors; answering phones; filing; updating contact databases; data entry; making copies; and other general office support;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in the SPRING term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.


  • Must attach Spring class schedule.
  • Engineering Major in the Gallogly College of Engineering

Skills:

  • General office/clerical duties
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication
  • Customer service 
  • Experience working in teams

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Standard office environment
  • Student Recruiters will lead tours of the Engineering Quad, so frequent standing and walking is expected, including walking up and down stairs
  • Lifting 10-15 pounds for accessing and using recruitment materials
  • Standard office environment

Department Preferences:

  • Completed at least one semester at the University of Oklahoma
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Employment is for the SPRING semester only. Student may be continued  for SUMMER or FALL pending evaluation
