Department Summary
In support of the University’s core values of access, diversity, and engagement, the Psychology Department seeks to create an equitable and inclusive environment that encourages academic and personal growth among faculty and students.
Position Overview
This position will support faculty and their efforts in working closely with high school and college students who will be participating in a grant-funded workforce development program designed to assist students in their efforts to pursue a career in healthcare.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and one year of professional related experience in
coordinating or administering higher education programming or related field; or any
equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to prioritize multiple ongoing responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications
-Ability to work closely and foster relationships with program and community partners
-Strong Communication Skills
-Advanced Problem Solving Skills
-Proficiency in MS Office

Monday – Friday 8-5 with some nights and weekends

Job Duties


o
Recruiting high school and college students for Workforce Development Program
o
Assisting students as they transition in their education toward a career in healthcare.
o
Work closely with Sr. Program Project Coordinator to design and execute co-curricular programming.
o
Facilitate social and mentoring support with participants monthly and throughout the year
o
Assist students with college application process.
