The College of Law is currently recruiting Student Proctors to join their team. The College has two weeks of exams in the Fall and Spring, and one week in the Summer.

Duties to include:

  • Monitor students during test sessions to ensure a secure testing environment.
  • Distribution and collection of examinations.
  • Starting and ending examinations at the appointed times.
  • Report suspected irregularities/unusual behavior to the Registrar.
  • Check in examinations in numerical order as they are turned in.
  • Return all examinations to the Registrar in numerical order at the end of each exam.
  • Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Basic level of Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
  • Possess solid judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a large number of people and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend assignments.

Student Assistant

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters. 
  • During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
  • Upon graduating, student employment must end.
  • Hours will vary and may coincide with midterm and final exam periods. Exams scheduled M-Th can start as early as 8:30AM and end as late as 11PM. Exams scheduled on Fridays can start as early as 8:30AM and end as late as 5PM.

 

  • $12 per hour
