Position Purpose
The Student Office Assistant for the THRIVE Program will assist our Program Director with clerical duties such as word processing, copying, and answering phones. They handle incoming and outgoing mail and email for the general THRIVE email address. They also work on projects for program personnel as assigned.
Attention to detail, dependability, and integrity are required.
The Student Office Assistant is expected to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently. They should be able to follow both written and verbal instructions and prioritize work.
The Student Office Assistant will only work 20 hours/week between 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The exact schedule will be determined based on availability.
This position is only open to Undergraduate students who are enrolled for at least 9 credit hours and do not plan to graduate before May 2025.
Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent
Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Other - MS Office and Google environments
Experience
No experience is required, customer service experience preferred.
Preference will be given to applicants who exhibit a willingness to learn, develop new skills, and tackle new tasks.
Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with communicating and assisting individuals with disabilities.
