Campus beautiful by day and night. Are you interested in the areas of landscape, botany, and/or design? Facilities Management is hiring an intern to help the Landscape team with landscape architect. Tasks and projects for this position include creating university landscape maps, building plant care guides for plants across campus and seasons, and helping to develop landscape designs for campus. This position will perform both office work and working outside with Facilities Management staff including administration and gardeners.

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

  • Must attach Spring, Summer, and/or Fall 2024 class schedule


Physical Requirements:

  • Working with people
  • Eyestrain from working often with computers
  • Repetitive hand and wrist use
  • Climbing stairs
  • Sitting for prolonged periods
  • Bending and stopping as necessary
  • Working in outside conditions including but not limited to sun, rain, heat, cold, and wind

Department Preferences:

  • Completing a degree in botany, city/landscape planning, or related.
  • Experience with landscaping.
  • Creativity and innovation.
  • Ability to work in all weather elements including sun, rain, heat, and cold.
