Job Summary
The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Weekend & Holiday Kennel Worker to work weekend & holidays. This candidate will perform a variety of tasks related to animal care. Working approximately 12 to 14 hours per week, could be more during holidays and summer (schedule will vary).

Essential Functions
  • Independently perform a variety of animal care duties such as (but not limited to) feeding, watering, grooming, and cleaning
  • Assist with animal treatments as needed
  • Visually assess the health and well-being of canines
  • Update health/treatment records
  • May assist with canine transportation
  • May participate in canine exercise and enrichment activities
  • Transport animals to appointments
Minimum Qualifications
  • Enrolled student at Auburn University
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Be able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Have a current tetanus shot
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Canine Whelping/Handling/Kennel Care is preferred
Pay Rate $12.00/hour
Work Hours 20
