Job Summary/Responsibilities | This position is dependent on available funding and requires the candidate to sign a confidentiality agreement due to the nature of the work involved. - Assisting the internal audit team with all aspects of an audit project. This may involve: - Participating in client interviews to gain an understanding of processes; - Documenting business processes in the form of narratives, Q&A, flowcharts, etc.; - Evaluating business processes by selecting samples and testing transactions for accuracy, completeness, allow-ability, existence and validity; - Draft recommendations to enhance noted business process deficiencies. - Preparing work papers to record and summarize information in accordance with professional internal auditing standards. - Drafting clear and concise testing results. - Assisting with other projects as assigned. - Data collecting, extracting, analyzing, and reporting pertinent institutional data for audit/consulting engagements. - Creating new and/or updating/maintaining existing data queries and reports utilizing programming language. - Transforming raw data to prepared datasets for project analysis and reporting. - Constructing effective data displays to communicate key points to engagement/senior management. |
Required Qualifications | Applicants must: - be a current UNF student - be detail oriented - be able to work as part of a team as well as independently - have strong verbal and written communication skills. |
Preferred Qualifications | UNF student majoring in Finance, Accounting, Computer or Data Science, or other business-related field. |
