This position is for employment during Spring 2024 semester. Training will begin immediately upon hire and could begin as early as January 2024. 

Facilities Maintenance student employees are responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of Sarkeys Fitness Center and other Fitness and Recreation facilities, including recreational fields.  Job duties will include but will not be limited to: vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, emptying trash, cleaning restrooms and locker rooms and other duties as assigned. Will respond during emergency situations. Customer service.

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in the Spring semester as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.


  • Must attach Spring 2024 ONE class schedule.

Skills:



  • The ideal applicant is a team player with the ability to work autonomously.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Certifications: 

  • Must have a current/valid driver's license.
  • Selected applicants will be required to become CPR/AED certified through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Training will be provided by the hiring department.

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs, and safely participate in team lifting for heavier items.
  • Ability to learn how to accurately operate heavy equipment such as a riding scrubber or walk behind a vacuum.
