Student - ESL

Utah Valley University is seeking a student to assist the Center for Professional & Continuing Education department. This position is located on the at the UVU Business Resource Center. It is a temporary position with the option to switch to work study employment during the school year. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting the coordinator of the ESL Program with customer service, testing, making phone calls, preparing class materials, and general office duties.
• This position requires that you speak English and Spanish, possess exceptional organizational skills, be able to complete tasks with little supervision, and must be able to follow instructions.

• Must be a current UVU student
• English/Spanish communication (speaking and writing)
• Follow instruction, work well with others, and provide exception customer service. 

• Computer Skills (proficient with email, Internet, Microsoft Office, and other programs that you will be trained on).
• Knowledge of Social Media platforms
• Filing
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Answer phones and return messages
• Greet students
• Able to answer questions and emails about the program in both English and Spanish.
• Assist with marketing and outreach, be willing to travel within Utah County.
• Assist with recruiting students, registration, and testing.
• Prepare class materials
• Excellent customer service
• Organization skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to work with students from different backgrounds.
