GENERAL DESCRIPTION | The Student Engagement Coordinator at the Stuart School of Business supports student success and engagement by positively contributing to a welcoming and inclusive environment throughout the student life- cycle from pre-collegiate recruitment through graduation and the alumni experience. They do this through collaborative planning and promotion of events such as orientation, employer information sessions, community engagement events, and serving as a front-line resource to visitors and members of the Stuart community. Further, the Student Engagement Coordinator provides administrative support to faculty and staff allowing them to provide a superior educational experience to Stuart students. |
Special Schedule Requirements | The position may require occasional overtime/weekend work, and will require working at the Mies Campus at times, as assigned. |

Qualifications
Education & Experience | Required: - Bachelor’s degree. Preferred: - Two or more years of experience in administration, program management, or event planning. - Prior experience in higher education, nonprofits, or student affairs. - Experience working with diverse and/or international populations. |

Knowledge & Skills | - Must be detail oriented, motivated, responsive, and have strong follow-up skills. - Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. - Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. - Excellent problem-solving skills. - Have the ability to train others. - Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace and some knowledge of MS Office. - Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology. |

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibility | Student Engagement and Marketing - Manage the creation and distribution of the weekly “What’s Next” student & monthly “Soundbites” newsletters, update elevator and lobby monitors with relevant event information. - Assist in the development of student engagement presentations (e.g., recruitment, orientation, career workshops). - Oversee internal usage of email, website, and social media platforms, including the creation of content, timing of messaging and publication, and the collection of data. |

Key Responsibility | Reception & Administrative Support - Serve as the initial point of contact providing personalized customer service to visitors and community members. - Responsible for ordering and maintaining office inventory. - Managing facilities-related and room reservation requests. - Scheduling routine maintenance and repair appointments for office equipment. - Maintenance and distribution of Stuart syllabus template, semesterly collection of completed syllabi from faculty, and management of book orders. - Management of the mail/copy room. |
