Job Description

Provides lifeguarding, life safety support, and customer service. Maintains concentrated observation of swimmers in duty area in order to anticipate problems. Enforces all policies and regulations and participates in regular in-service trainings.

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.


  • Must attach Spring, Summer, and/or Fall 2024 ONE class schedule.

Skills:



  • Must be able to swim a minimum of 300 yards using the front crawl and breast stroke

  • Surface dive to a depth of between nine and thirteen feet of water to retrieve a ten-pound brick and exit the pool unassisted without using the ladder

Certifications:

  • Current Lifeguard certification
  • Current CPR for Lifeguards or CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer certification
  • Current First-Aid certification

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to swim
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs
