Student - Digital Media Assistant, College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences

Under close supervision of the program’s supervising faculty member and Undergraduate Project Manager, the Digital Media Assistant will be required to edit and enhance video clips and final edits from taped sessions of Candid Conversations.

Rate of Pay:

• $10-12 per hour 

Work expectation:

• 10 hours a week

Location:

• This is a hybrid position working some hours on Hammond campus and then remotely

The responsibilities of the Digital Media Assistant are to be determined based on need and urgency.  Responsibilities, under the close supervision of a faculty member include:
 

• Be able to receive large audio/video file transfers of Candid Conversations tapings.
• Edit video drafts based on the direction of the supervising faculty member to create a final production video.
• Store final edits in an accessible location for the supervising faculty member
• Send requests for final production video to be added to the CHESS YouTube page
• Create 2-3 minute clips from pivotal moments in the final production videos
• Send approved clips to Undergraduate Project Manager for posting on social media
• Follow the production schedule to prioritize editing tasks
• Complete final edits in a timely manner
  • Video edits must be finalized one week before the prospective air date
• Attend weekly meetings to touch base on expectations and create action plans based on program needs.

• Must be a current PNW student

• Video editing experience required
• Audio engineering experience required
• Access to required editing software such as Kaltura or Camtasia
