Job Description:

Summary

As a Student Service Specialist I, the successful candidate will be reviewing, processing, and supporting both College of Engineering (COE) students and COE advisers with the transition from ISU Legacy system to Workday integration. Typical tasks include providing administrative support to both students and academic advisers for student registration, pre-requisite enforcement/approval process, processing Degree Audit Exceptions, and supporting June Orientation registration process.

In addition, this position will coordinate the college Workday critical response system (Trello), build Workday trainings for advisers and students, and support the COE Basic Program Enforcement process.

Example of Duties
• Provides guidance to students for general course registration, academic record processing, and pre-requisite token processing, and Workday navigation.
• Delivers services for reviewing, processing, and approving/denying submitted overrides from both legacy systems and new student information system.

• Manage academic advisor's project board and escalate issues to IT Services for resolution.

Support academic advisors in ensuring student information system data is accurate and up to date.
• Advises students on policies and procedures.
• Refers students to appropriate resources.
