This position will require a candidate to work the second shift from 3:00 PM-11:30 PM. 

The Coordinator acts as the supervisor for the day-to-day operations of facilities set-up services for all guests and users of the University Center (UC), UC Satellite, and other assigned facilities. 

  • Interacts with department units to complete facility set-up, teardown, and event preparation in assigned areas. 
  • Interprets computer-generated reports, instructions, and policies to coordinate and clarify job duties in relation to scheduled events and meetings.
  • Responsible for coordinating and supervising all facility set-up needs with the Event Services Staff for conferences, meetings, and special events scheduled to occur with the UC or UC Satellite facilities. This may include but not limited to table and chair placement, audio visual equipment and placement and testing of any other equipment used.
  • Responsible for ensuring the cleaning of meeting rooms and special event spaces reserved for use. Also, ensures the adjustment and monitoring of room temperatures, unlocking doors and light control occurs in a timely manner as scheduled.
  • Posts daily printed signs in all assigned areas.
  • Responsible for timelines, event turnover, set-up preparations and event teardowns.
  • Oversees room inspections after completion of events and submits requests for repairs and replacement of any furnishings or equipment. 
  • Coordinates the training of the Event Services Set-Up Student Crew as well as the Event Services Set-Up Specialists.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     

    This position will require a candidate to work the second shift from 3:00 PM-11:30 PM. 

    High school and 3 years experience

    Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
