This position is for Summer 2024 employment. Training will begin immediately upon hire and could begin as early as May 2024. 

Cashiers provide customer service to the members of the Sarkeys Fitness Center. They will run cash register for sales and membership, adhering to all proper payment handling processes. Cashiers provide program and service information, both in person and on the telephone. They will enforce facility policies, assist with data entry, respond during emergency situations, and clean and maintain the center.

Job Requirements

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring is contingent upon verification of current student status.


  • Must attach Spring, Summer, and/or Fall 2024 ONE class schedule.

Skills: 


  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must have good customer service skills. 
  • Must have computer and data entry skills. 
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Certifications:

  • Selected applicants will be required to become CPR/AED certified through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Training will be provided by the hiring department.

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, moving, reaching, and stooping.
  • May work with chemicals.
