STUDENT-ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Additional duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director - Student Development, the Assistant Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Development or the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Development.

Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the Pac-12 Conference, the State of Washington and any other governing body is of paramount importance to the University. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Sports Management or a related field required. A minimum of three years of experience working in the area of student development, college athletics, academic services, or related field. Proven ability to develop programs and coordinate resources at the college level. Significant understanding of the lives and challenges of student-athletes.

Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously and with limited direction and complete projects by established deadlines. Demonstrated work experience with evidence of strong organizational, time management, communication, and supervisory skills. Ability to work with diverse student populations. Proven ability to work collaboratively with faculty, campus administrators, and staff.

Evening hours required on a weekly basis in addition to occasional weekend hours.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Education, Sports Management, Counseling or Exercise Science/Leadership strongly preferred. Event planning experience strongly preferred. Student-athlete development experience and experience teaching courses strongly preferred.
