Armstrong Campus - Savannah, GA

Southern Cafe

The Student Assistant will support the Southern Café as a Food Service Associate on the Armstrong Campus during Spring 2024. 
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

• Prepares fresh food items as per recipes and specifications
• Stocks inventory
• Provides customer service functions such as greeting customers and operating cash registers to complete cash and credit transactions 
• Keeps kitchen and dining room areas clean and neat
• Works with various kitchen equipment
• Empties trash cans
• Fills condiment dispensers
• Vacuums as needed

Shift Specifics

• Up to 25 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• 2 positions: 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM (Sunday/Monday/Wednesday/Friday)
• 2 positions: 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM (Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday)

Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University

$10.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.

• Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
