Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for NJMS- Pharmacology. This position is under supervision performs and assists with laboratory services and procedures in support of research activities of the laboratory.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Ensures that glassware and equipment are kept clean and are properly stored; keeps laboratory clean
• Prepares stock solutions and buffers
• Assists with the maintenance of the laboratory facilities, equipment and instruments.
• Initiates inventory control of laboratory supplies, prepares and processes orders for supplies as needed.
• Designs and makes parts of fiberoptic spectroscopic system using 3D printers and perform experiments (for ex, fiberoptic spectroscopic analysis

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Six months of prior laboratory experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform job duties
